Relevo

Three phones lying on an acid-yellow surface showing the Relevo handover screens.

The most dangerous five minutes in many workplaces happen when one shift hands over to the next.

Concept

Studio concept. Relevo is a fictional start-up invented for this study. It isn't a client, and the product doesn't exist.

Design & development

This is an interactive prototype, not a picture of one. Tick the items, then press and hold the button to take the shift. The hold uses a clip-path over two seconds and snaps back quickly if you let go, because being decisive should feel different from changing your mind.

Overview

Relevo, “relay” in Spanish, is an imagined early-stage product that replaces the notebook, the WhatsApp group and the shouted summary at shift change. Its users are tired, in a hurry and often wearing gloves.

Challenge

Workforce software is usually designed for the manager who buys it, not the person using it at the end of a ten-hour shift. A handover tool that takes longer than a shouted sentence won't get used, whatever it can do.

Objectives

  1. 1Complete a handover in under a minute
  2. 2Make responsibility explicit: who holds what, right now
  3. 3Stay legible in bad light and work with big thumbs

Strategy & direction

Design around the moment responsibility changes hands. Everything in the product leads to one big, deliberate action.

  • The hold

You accept a handover by pressing and holding. Slow enough to mean it, fast enough not to resent. It's the one place we deliberately add friction.

  • Acid on black

Very high contrast, chosen for dim corridors and bright kitchens rather than for fashion.

  • Big type, few words

Every item fits in a glance: what happened, who touched it, and what you need to do.

Deliverables

  • Product strategy
  • User flows
  • Interactive prototype
  • Design system and tokens
  • Marketing site

Outcomes

This is a concept, so there are no results to report. We don't invent numbers. When a commissioned project goes here, you'll see verified outcomes and where they came from.
